Never a moment late ever since they first met.
But he's too afraid to actually go through with it.
It being being with her.
Because when he makes love to her, his Supergirl, Kara Zor-El, he's reminded of what a different version of him has done to her.
That sharp pain that starts all over his entire being when he slides between her legs, even the most gentlest touch of a kiss.
The previous version of himself getting jealous of her concern for a person called Captain Boomerang who is in the hospital.
Power Boy wants to be intimate with her but she is more concerned about her friend which drove him into a wild jealousy, a rage that he, when that jealous has reached its apex, starts to unleash upon her.
"What's wrong, Jan?" (the civilian name they have both agreed upon) Kara asks him once while cuddling in bed.
He stares at her and slowly smiles.
"It's nothing, my love." he replies.
But even just an intimate moment of cuddling makes him experience a sharp pain in his heart.
He can never truly love her without letting go of those memories, but he'll try his hardest to succeed.
