"What are we doing here?" Sif asked tersely.
A playful glint shone in Loki's eyes, "Just having a bit of fun, that's all."
"We should leave. I do not know where the All-Father is but he will not be pleased if he finds us in his throne room with no one else present. I do not wish to have to explain what I am doing walking with Loki the frail."
He winced a little as the familiar mocking name came out of her mouth, but stretched his mouth into a taunting smile, "Now, now dear lady. I didn't know you were a coward."
That line hit home as he saw a familiar look of anger flash onto her face and she snapped, "Watch your tongue if you wish to keep it."
He walked closer and closer to the throne, looking back as if to dare her to walk closer. "What if I don't? Will you flay me, my dear lady?"
She advanced accordingly, "I have been more than accommodating, now I demand an explanation."
Loki took a seat upon Odin's throne, casually draping himself over the chair like he owned it, "Just thought I'd come here and admire the view."
Sif rolled her eyes, "Oh yes, very charming. Now get off of there before someone sees you." She extended a hand to help him off the throne.
"And what if they do?" he retorted, pulling her in closer. For someone who had the nickname "the frail" he moved with a subtle strength.
"You know as well as I do that the All-Father is not known for his forgiveness when people challenge his authority."
Loki did not let go her hand and she noted that this close he smelled pleasantly like leather and mint, "Perhaps it’s time that someone did."
Sif gave a smile, "Oh? And I suppose a bastard adopted son would be the perfect candidate for change?"
"Who better than one who has been a victim of the hierarchy countless times?" He moved his left hand over her cheek, "And of course I would need a queen to rule beside me."
Sif had to admit that there was something very intriguing about the idea of not only being able to stand in public with him but forcing the Aesir to respect their relationship. No one could stop them then. Yes, Thor promised to love her, but he was still a petulant child, drinking and fighting every day, which while it was fun was not the behavior of a king. She smiled at Loki, "I think it may take a bit of persuading before that would happen."
"Please let me plead my case to you," He said, pressing his lips to hers. In this moment she could almost forget about all the trouble they would be in if they got caught in the throne room, let alone kissing on the All-Father's throne. His tongue flicked over hers and her hands moved in his hair, grabbing him and pressing him closer.
