I just think that DC hates my money. I mean, I'm happy to keep it if they don't want it. But what I don't understand is when "cuts" need to be made in the Batfamily, it seems to be the girls who get it worst. Seriously, you can't just take Babs out of the wheelchair like nothing happened. Oracle is such an iconic figure now. And it seems like Steph just got some credibility and was getting her feet under her as Batgirl, only to have that mantle taken from her too :(
And seriously, Supergirl is going to look stupid if they stick her in a pair of pants!
DC seriously doesn't seem to know what they're doing. They obviously are trying to pull in a new fanbase, but they're not guarantee it'll work, and in the process they may (and most likely will) lose a lot of their existing fanbase. They're basically throwing themselves under a bus at this point, especially with their female fans since, as you said, the girls are the ones that are seeming to get fucked over with this.
That's always been my issue with DC. While I've always felt that they had more interesting, stand alone female characters (as opposed to Marvel where the majority are tied to the big teams) DC seems to really lack and desire or ability to connect with their female fanbase, which is strange since they have some of the biggest women in the industry (namely, Gail Simone) writing for them. But despite the growing popularity of comics among mainstream female fanbases, they seen to be continually alienating that demographic. And this year has been especially bad, starting with the disastrous Wonder Woman reboot, and going downhill since.
They won't tell me what is going to happen to my bb Power Girl. :( And Supergirl and Batwoman. GET IT TOGETHER DC
