"Blank", Clex shmoop, it's a sun-shiny day

Finals? Vanquished. Smallville? Unexpectedly awesome. Friendslist? skip=87287923879248948. Whoo-hoo. The day can't really get any better.

When I saw the preview for this ep, I knew it was either going to be really good, or really, really bad. Dude. It was AWESOME. I'm so excited. Obviously about the Clex, but, you know what? I didn't even hate Lana! No! Not even at all! Of course in that last nauseating Clana scene on the porch I was like "No, Clark! Let her walk away! LET HER WALK AWAY FOR LOVE OF EVERYTHING THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY." But man, I didn't even hate their little reconciliation, plus they spared us the kissing.

And the Clex? Good god. Because they're so rifty, and yet they love each other so much. Lex wanting a private moment with Clark to jog his memory with some hot, hot sex? And then a little jaunt down to the caves, as always trying to figure out just What Is Going On With That Farmboy, and finally at the end where Clark wants to talk? Maybe hoping that Lex finally admitted his feelings and thus hot, hot sex? Except Lex, predictably, denies it, sending our hero into the arms of La Lang. Sad. Saaaaaaad. But awesome.

Plus, Chloe? Was most definitely working it. Poor girl. I will be sad when she dies, as is inevitable. *sniff*.

Also, Clark in Miami? Hee hee.

Aaaaand...Clexy math homework, because I was feeling shmoopy.

“Clark. Clark, are you listening?” Lex glances over from his comfortable sprawl on the floor.

Clark looks up from, apparently, contemplating the weave of Lex’s carpet. He rolls from his stomach to his back, stretching and smiling innocently. “Hm? Um, yeah, Lex. I’m listening.”

Lex frowns. “Clark, this is important.”

“Lex. It’s not important. It’s algebra. It’s factoring, Lex. I could do it in my sleep.”

“Granted, it’s a basic concept, but you need the basics to-”

“-build a strong foundation. You sound like my dad.” Clark spears Lex with another grin and rolls back over, scooting along the carpet until his head is level with Lex’s waist. “And I really don’t want to think about my dad right now.”

“Clark, don’t you have a test tomorrow?”

Clark nuzzles the crease of Lex’s wool slacks, dragging his teeth over the covered zipper and smiling at Lex’s quiet gasp. “Yes. And it’ll be fine. Just because I think it’s pointless doesn’t mean I don’t know how to do it.” His smile widened wickedly. “I’m just interested in exploring other kinds of knowledge right now.” He untucks Lex’s shirt, sliding his hands underneath to explore the play of muscles in Lex’s stomach.

“I’m all for expanding your horizons, Clark.” Lex murmurs, his voice low, pleased. “But-”

“You know,” Clark says distractedly as he unbuttons Lex’s shirt, watching his eyes close as he slid a leg over Lex’s to straddle one long thigh. “I really disagree with the whole concept of factoring. The number are perfectly happy un-factored, in my opinion. Why does everything have to be split up into compartments all the time? It seems like people just want to over-think things.” He grins as Lex’s eyes shoot open. “I mean, who really cares what x is, anyway?”

He strokes Lex’s chest gently, fingertips lingering over his heartbeat to feel it jump and stutter under his hands. “Know what I mean?”

Lex’s mouth curves up in an almost defeated smile. “Yeah.”

He reaches up, threading his fingers through Clark’s hair, pulling him down for a slow, lazy kiss, toungue tracing patterns against the roof of Clark’s mouth; words, symbols, or equations, it only means one thing. Lex pulls away, lips curling in a smile against Clark’s. “But what will your parents say when you come home without any homework done?”

Clark can feel Lex’s laugh vibrate against his chest, and he sighs gustily, licking a slow path across Lex’s jaw, pausing to nip at his ear. “What are the chances you’ll forget about this whole ‘homework’ thing if I suck you off?”

Lex’s fingers clench in his hair, and he draws Clark’s mouth back to his for a hot, hard kiss, pulling back with a sharp bite to Clark’s lower lip. “You know, Clark, probability is actually a very useful concept that I think you might find interest-”

Clark silences him with another kiss. “Lex? You’re the only equation I’m interested in solving right now.”

Lex’s eyes crinkle in amusement and Clark has to kiss them. “Well. As long as you can truthfully tell your parents you were doing math.”

Clark grins. “Did I ever tell you that math is my favorite subject?”

Fin.
