1. Erland just wants to have fun with it. He wants something to occupy his time. Controlling the world is a pain. Trying to take it over is exciting. Being campy about it has the best chance of heroes not trying to kill you. QED.
2. It's partially a species pride thing, as he resents anyone thinking themselves more highly than himself, a clearly higher being. That said, I think it's also a certain amount that Erland isn't too sure of himself in the grand scheme of things. Sure, he can be a big shot on earth if he tried, but it's like being the strong kid in the sandbox- there's always another sandbox.
Also, Erland just wants to feel needed. Being tossed away and locked in sensory depriving cages for years does that.
5. Eeeeh no. But the aesthetic is similar.
6. She's female and doesn't cowtow to any male, probably.
7. Not directly. Whatever scarred her was a lot worse.
8. Erland saw Shiroko as a demure girl who just wanted a relatively normal life in peace.
Erland appreciates her style and femininity. He also likes her desire to better suit her lover, though it goes a bit far for Erland's tastes.
Shiroko is a bit 'one that got away', but considering she's with Onni of all people, he really does question her taste in lovers. Indeed, there might be somewhat of a comparison with Hoshi in his mind... they both seem to go through drastic changes, and they're both attracted to Onni for some bizarre reason.
1. Who does he consider the main problems in doing this time of harmless fun. 2. Is that why he seems to not entirely like Noriko? Because she's a human who got above her station? 5. That's what I meant. That aesthetically in the game, they're the closest thing to coming to the Xenoi. 6. ... Vaguely shallow! 7. I remaincurious what that was because I'm a nightmare fetishist. 8. How would Erland prefer her to change if he was her lover?
To be honest, a lot of the beginning of Shiroko's romantic interest in Onni is pretty much. Pity.
1. Pretty much the standard culprits: Onni, Isabel, Jinn, anyone with a hero streak that doesn't really know him.
2. It's not so much that, as she tends to lord over people a bit. She did that when she was human too, really. Erland tries to stay fairly average Joe, and tries not to throw his weight around. He also tries not to dictate how other people should be, but he tends to fail at this in regards to people he's close with.
In either case, though, Erland COULD try and force the issue like Noriko does with her mind alterations, but he's made a conscious effort not to use that route when it isn't critical.
5. As a whole, no, but there are similarities, yes.
6. Really, I just don't know what might attract her to Moeko. Theresa might like being doted on, but I don't think Moeko has quite the patience to deal with her.
8. He'd enjoy a yamato nadeshiko type, and particularly want Shiroko to stop trying to be someone else for him. After all, if he wanted someone else, he could have just made her that way.
1. Actually, he might be able to sway Onni with that, if you know, they weren't fighting over Shiyoko for eternity.
2. I would like to petition Noriko is, while a lording spoiled bitch, is an affectionate sweetheart who does try to help people, just. Spoiled bitch on top of it.
And ah, what do you mean force the issues?
5. You know what I mean. Liek, gawd.
6. She doesn't. Moeko is a spoiled brat who lives on "I WANT IT NOW".
8. In Kimono or not? Anything else as far as appearance goes? Or behaviors?
Also, the thing to understand with Shiroko why she's so happy and eager to change is she never fits right in her skin. She doesn't quite as much want to change now as "Shiroko doesn't feel like she's really me".
2. I think Erland sees that well enough, which is why they're friends.
Well, Erland tries to give people a chance to change on their own. Sometimes that fails (Moeko is a classic case), and when he does make alterations, he only does so when the person is a danger to themselves or others (usually), or with the person's consent.
8. Kimono is fine, but otherwise is also fine. Appearence, he'd probably prefer her slender, as Shiyoko is T&A enough. Behavior... well, demure. He likes it when people offer up suggestions, and try to give options, but ultimately accept his decision when he's made up his mind. He likes to be Captain, in other words.
Erland doesn't like changing people because then they aren't unique. They'd start to feel more constructed than real, in which case their love would likewise be constructed, not true.
2. So the main disagreement amongst them is Noriko believes in a sledgehammer over surgery, and tends to have few problems with "Constructed".
For the most part, Noriko does honestly try to allow people to change themselves. She just believes in scaring themselves back into themselves.
8. I notice Shikou and Erland both like her as a Yamato Nadeshiko. Does she naturally come off as being one?
Yeah. That's probably one of the worst things to note, is the Shiroko everyone knows, since day one, is constructed. Oddly enough, Shiyoko, despite being a construct herself, is way more stable.
2. Pretty much. Erland feels people should be 'unprocessed' as possible, otherwise you remove what made them unique and thus worthwhile in the first place.
8. I think. That's what seems to be her natural tendency. I mean, her hair is long, she seems distinctly Japanese in attitudes, and has natural skill in the arts. A Nadeshiko seems like a fairly obvious choice.
Erland isn't bothered by constructed so long as it was before he met them. Hence why he loves Vidya so much.
2. Noriko finds that as well. Her biggest hang ups are she really feels Sanshi should be allowed to shop for a personality he actually likes, and that Shiroko and Suguru would be best off as busty lazy bimbos.
8. Which makes me wonder why she tries to dress like a tease or whatnot, then.
Well, the thing with Shiroko is the fact she knows she's constructed drives her nuts. Even with Shikou and Onni's help. It's still a frazzle point to her.
2. Sanshi Erland might agree with to a degree, since his personality was overwritten in the first place. Erland doesn't care much for bimbos, much less bimboization, though.
8. Seems like all the xokos like it rough, so. Maybe related to that?
8. Posibly. But that's just because I currently see her as HGSS Sabrina. I wish she was the Nadeshiko more often, but I think that would be helped by a change in decks which requires me to punch Jeff for certain flowers.

And fair enough.
