Here's the blog about the Patent Pending concert that I went to on March 8th. Click the cut and read my babbling about the awesomeness of the show.
So this show was pretty f*cking awesome. We got to see the band members do all kinds of goofy and retarded things, we got a song dedicated to us (specifically to our group of 3 people, as opposed to the January show where a song was dedicated to us and some other people that go to their shows a lot), Joe said some insanely funny things (which I will most likely make into quote icons at some point), we got to see Marc and Jay being adorable bff's again, and just...wow. Everything about it was wonderful. I was extremely happy when they played Old and Out of Tune because it's one of my favorite songs, and I haven't heard it live until now because they usually only play that song at their acoustic shows.
However, as great as the day was, I felt like an idiot for forgetting my wallet at home. Apparently I left it on the counter when I was talking to my mom while I was getting stuff to carry in my bag. So I had no clue that I didn't put it in the bag until we got there and I was looking for it to pay for admission. Luckily my friend's mom had some extra money on her, so she was able to pay for me. But I was unable to get a t-shirt, so the next time I get to see them play, I plan on bringing enough money to buy 2 shirts. :)
Anyways, we also got to meet the members of a band called Pull the Pin, who had been touring with Patent Pending for awhile. The lead singer and guitarist, Rob Felicetti, was pretty amusing. And the other 2 members, Corey Devincenzo (the bassist) and Brad Beneski (the drummer) were pretty cool too. It seems like my friend and I will try to see their band again at some point. Like Patent Pending, they're nice people, and after listening to them, I like their songs, so I definitely wouldn't mind that. And other than Pull the Pin, there was also
this guy named Dob who was really funny. He put on some dorky sunglasses and then started dancing when my friend and I looked over at him. XD
But the best part about these two bands? They get involved in each other's sets, and that resulted in so many hilarious things. For instance, at one point
Anthony stood behind Brad while he was drumming and massaged his shoulders. XD And at another point, Joe walked over to the mic and called Rob a big horse, and then said that he is actually a butterfly, or maybe even a moth. (You have to watch
this to understand.) And then after the song was finished, Rob said he'd give $50,000 to anyone who got the joke. My friend and I did since Joe posted that video on his blog a couple months ago (and after the concert, we found out it's also on Rob's Myspace). So my friend told him later on that he owes her $50,000 since he didn't have the money when she told him that we understood it. :P Also, at the beginning of Pull the Pin's set, Jay walked up to the microphone and did what he does in
this video @ approximately 3:23. My friend and I sounded like crackheads when we were laughing at this because he sounded even more ridiculous when he said it at our show, and it was just funny because the band hadn't even played any songs yet. XD
Anyways, here's some of my favorite pictures that we got while we were there:

The reason why I'm posting this is because it was absolutely hilarious to find out that Michael has over 20-30 pairs of 3-D glasses in his case. Seriously, who needs that many 3-D glasses!? XD;
Videos
Since for some odd reason my friend decided to disable embedding for these videos, here are the links to them:
Pull The Pin feat. Michael Ragosta (Patent Pending)-In this video, Michael sings with Pull the Pin, and you can see some of the silliness that I listed above, such as Anthony massaging Brad. XD
Dob sings his song-In this video, that guy Dob that I mentioned before sings the song he sang on MTV's Room Raiders. At the end of the episode that he was in, he sang this song to the girl that he picked to go on a date with.
Patent Pending talks about American Idol & New Jersey kids!-In this video, Joe claims that Marc tried out for American Idol and explains why he lost. He also points out how everybody hates New Jersey kids. :P
Patent Pending & Pull the Pin - Dammit-In this video, everything turned into a mob scene when Patent Pending started to sing their cover of Blink 182's "Dammit." Pull the Pin and other people from various bands there that day joined in to sing and play along with them. If you watch closely, you can see Michael try to play the bass. XD And then shortly after, Anthony runs off with the bass somewhere to play it.
See ya! ;)
