The concert last weekend

Last Saturday's Patent Pending concert was AWESOME. :D And like always, they were a bunch of loveable dorks. ♥ But since I never really bothered to describe these guys to all of you (with the exception of the post about my first concert, which is custom friend-locked since I mentioned a lot of names of people I know), here are some pictures I took of them at this concert.

This is Michael Ragosta. He's the band's lead singer, and he's my friend's favorite member. Although he's always loud on stage, he's pretty quiet when you try to talk to him. But if you get him to start talking about comic books, he opens up and becomes pretty chatty. At this concert, it was funny as hell watching him completely ignoring his girlfriend because he was reading a comic book. XD

This is Joe Ragosta. He's the band's lead guitarist, he sings, and he writes the lyrics for their songs. He used to have a mohawk, but he lost a bet and had to get it shaved off. He's got a blog (theworldofjoe.com) that he writes in pretty much daily. He's the only member that I feel incredibly comfortable talking to because I know how huge of a dork he is after reading the blog, so I know he won't judge me. Plus he remembers my face now when he sees me at concerts, which is awesome. :D

This is Anthony Mingoia. He's the band's drummer. He's incredibly tall. He's super nice to people too. For example, at the concert I went to in December, my friend took a picture with him and commented on how tall he was compared to her, and he asked if she wanted to take another picture with him crouching down to her height. :) Then my friend and I laughed at the picture later on because his head looked so much bigger when he crouched down. XD

This is Marc Kantor. He's the band's other guitarist, and he's one of my favorite members. He has a tatoo on his right arm of a violin and of The Giving Tree. His laugh is amazing. ♥ He made a trip across America to raise money for the American Heart Association (however, it seems he deleted the blog that he wrote in every day during the trip, which disappoints me because it was an interesting/funny read T_T). I haven't talked to him yet because of nervousness/shyness, but maybe I'll finally think of something to say to him eventually.

Because none of the pictures that I took of Jay by himself came out looking good, I'm using this picture since he just looks like he's zoning out rather than looking insanely stoned/bored out of his mind. XD;

The guy on the left is Jay Biener. He's the band's bassist, and he's my other favorite member. He can usually be seen talking to Marc or Corey while playing during shows. Inbetween the time that I saw him in June and the time I saw him in December, he lost 50 lbs. Now he's helping the rest of the members get into shape by making them work out back stage at their shows.

The guy on the right is Corey Weisinger. He's the band's roadie, so he helps them sell merchandise and move their equipment. Whenever Joe jumps into the crowd to do stuff, Corey will play Joe's guitar for him, just as he's seen doing in this picture. He's a pretty chill guy to talk to about stuff. :)

Anyways, my friend made them all drawings again like she usually does, but this time she asked them to draw stuff for her. The drawings are so hilarious. XD

Joe's drawing is just a random slice of pizza. He originally wanted to just call it pizza man, but he messed up and wrote an "N" instead of a "Z." So Anthony kept suggesting random stuff to write, such as Pineapple Express and piñatas are fun. But then my friend suggested he could name it something, thus how the name Pinci came to be.

Anthony's picture is one of the nicest by far. He drew her an elephant, and as is written in the picture, made it say, "Elephants never forget how awesome you are!" It was so nice of him to write something like that. :) Plus my friend really likes elephants, so it's like a double bonus or something. :D

Marc's drawing is of Arnold from Hey Arnold! The "Rah!" thing is a random inside joke that won't really make any sense even if I attempted to explain it. But it's hilarious to us, so that's all that really matters. XD

Jay has 2 drawings because he completely messed up the first time around. Unlike everybody else who had to think for a second about what to draw, Jay immediately knew that he wanted to draw Marc. This was hilarious to us because we always talk about how those 2 are total BFFs. And it was funny just watching Jay draw him because Marc kept moving around and Jay kept telling him to stop and the 2 just kept laughing at each other. XD

This drawing is by a guy named Mike who shows up at their shows sometimes to be a roadie. He decided to draw Anthony, and Anthony's reaction to this picture was so great. He basically wrinkled his face at it because it looks nothing like him. XD

My friend doesn't like to get changed for gym, so she told Marc to write her a note telling her to get changed, so he did. :D Joe added in the "DO STUFF" that's written on the bottom.

Joe wrote a story about my friend being stuck in high school forever because she never gets changed for gym. XD

Michael drew this ninja turtle. And like he normally writes on the pictures my friend draws of him, he added in a "HOLY CRAP!" and a "POW!"

Corey drew a random cartoon head thing because he couldn't think of something to draw.

But yeah, we had fun talking to the band members about random things. And my friend finally asked Joe about possibly playing a show for her birthday and for our graduation. He says that he can give us a discount because he knows us, which is super nice of him considering how much money he said the band is in debt for as of now due to all of the free shows they have done over the years. Anyways, if we're seriously going to make this happen, we have to get enough money somehow, and we have to figure out a place where they could play. And also, I personally think we'd have to find some people who would want to listen to them because it would be incredibly weird only playing for a crowd of like 5-10 people. But still, if this all works, it'll be pretty epic having them play a show just for us. :D

Anyways, before I wrap up this post, here are some short videos that my friend and I took of the band, once again proving just how silly they can be. :)

This isn't really a silly video, but it was amusing to us because in the Marc Across America blog that he used to have, he mentioned something about this song being the first song he heard on his trip when he put his iPod on shuffle. However, one slightly funny thing is when he drops his guitar pick while playing and has to pick it up. :P

This was so hilarious to watch. XD If I hadn't accidentally taken a picture instead of a video at first, this video would've been longer. But I'm glad that I still managed to catch the end of their little chant. :)

This is the first part of the Rick Astley videos. Anthony, Joe, and Michael are singing along to the song, and in this one Anthony notices my friend filming them and points that out to Joe. XD

This is the second part of the Rick Astley videos. Once again, the boys are still singing and dancing along to the song. :D

My friend filmed Jay while he was doing his drawings of Marc. The video is pretty dark, but if you look closely at the end, you can see Marc glance over at my friend and smile at her. :)

See ya! ;)
