October looms ever closer, and that means the deadline for us to get
Rainbow in the Dark #2 off to press is coming fast. Really fast. In fact, we've got just over a week to get everything done. It's a lot of work ahead of us, and we're readying ourselves for some late, late nights. Seriously, all caps - LATE nights. But it's going to be done and it's going to be great. We're really jazzed.
See the first issue was all about throwing the high concept at you hard and fast: a world of gray, an explosion of color, a band of teen bohemians battling huge monsters that nobody could see, and young Donna stuck in the middle. But with issue 2, you get to start finding out what the structure of this world is. Donna is inducted into the camp, and we find out more about this wild band, what they do, and why.
Part of that includes introducing a new main character, Jackson. He's the oldest guy outside the gloom, and the de facto leader-type, even if he can't just make all the decisions for everybody himself. He's really more of a "most honored advisor" type. The Yoda of the camp, if you will. The page below is your first glimpse of the guy - but it also contains an object that holds serious significance for the story of Rainbow. What and how? Grab Rainbow in the Dark #2 when it releases and find out.
We're getting back to work, now. More updates next week (including Uniques Tales stuff!).
See you then-
Adam & Comfort
