This is one of the most upsetting and distressing things that has happened to me for a long while. It's not something big, not something that anyone would think is terribly important.
My DS lite is on the verge of breaking.
I noticed that there were a few little cracks in the plastic, but there are in a lot of things I have so I didn't put much thought into it. But tonight I noticed that the top screen seemed unusually wobbly, like there was too much give when it was still open. I couldn't understand why but I've been looking and, God, the hinge is nearly completely cracked through on the right hand side.
It's closed now and shall remain so until I figure out what to do. Tomorrow I'll take it into Chips and see what they say, they're normally pretty good with these things and are friendly friendly nice people. If that fails I think it's a case for a proffessional repair. Possibly even sending it back to Nintendo if that's what's best for it.
Although how the hell I'm going to afford this I don't know, it looks like I'll be forking out at least £50.
But, as sad and silly as it sounds, my DS is so important to me. I really can't imagine what I'd do without it, it keeps me sane in this household. I've been playing handheld consoles ever since I was young, and so they've always been something big for me.
Losing my DS is not an option at all.
