Guys! I met a boy!
Well, not really. There's this boy that comes into Barnes & Noble and he is cute and sometimes he sits near me and reads and drinks coffee. I've seen him in there before, he must work/live nearby because he mentioned that he works with kids. The last time I met him, when I did not ask him name. This is my mission if I see him. "Hi. I'm Jen. What's your name?" Because he's crazy cute and he READS, and he looks about my age, and the banter could flow. He's a fan, of like Harry Potter(weird?), and he likes reading long books and I'm like, "I have a short attention span." Because I do. He's like "They're long, but you can get through them really fast."
Still doesn't make me want to read them, but whatever. So they play music overhead at the store and Neil Diamond was doing a cover of Adam Sandler's Chanukah song and he's like "This is so wrong." And I'm like "NO KIDDING!" Everyone knows the Chanukah song, right, drink your gin and tonic-a? It was really an awful cover. Weird.
Anyway. He is very cute. We just kind of sit there and I have to read my book and not blatantly check him out, because damn, he's cute and how often do cute boys just sit next to me? NOT OFTEN. I should be all "I work across the street, COME GROCERY SHOPPING!" Normally, I just like to sit there and read and not be pressed for conversation, but press me, baby. Press me like a button. It's always something I realize after the fact: fuck, he's cute, I should ask his name. And then it's too late. *sadface*
