I went to lunch with my friends Nancy & Beth, then we went to Bed, Bath & Beyond and picked out stuff for my friend Kristin's wedding shower, which is SATURDAY. EEE! It was fun, trying to find all the stuff on the computerized list at the registry. Then we went to TJ Maxx and picked out lingerie. A lot of it was ugly and not something I would buy for myself, much less my friend, but we did find something cute. We also bought her a bunch of kitchen supplies, which we're going to put in a cute little basket. I hope she likes it. *bites nails*
Then I said goodbye to them & went to Target, where they had FNL S3 for $20. Not $30, not $40, $20! I LOVE TARGET! And instead of agonizing whether to buy Tori Amos's new CD or FNL S3...I bought both. Because I totally would agonize and then get frustrated and buy neither. That puts me at not being able to buy anything for two months until my birthday. Think I can do it? But didn't I say I was going to cave and buy both? At least I'm a woman of my word. ;)
I also almost bought Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper, but I can hopefully find it at Barnes & Noble the next time I go for, like, $7.99. Less than $10 for a book is awesome, it still gives me money to buy coffee and not feel like I'm broke! And I figure I'll just grab a 12-pack of Diet Coke whenever I go over to my dad's every week, so I can save money on soda this summer. 12 cans of soda should last me a week, right? I shouldn't even be DRINKING soda; I've seen the dark, disgusting underbelly of where the bottles & cans go when all that delicious soda is gone and it totally makes me not want to drink soda anymore. Somewhere up there, my mom is cackling and going "See?! See?! My plan is working! Bwahaha!" I'm being a drama llama, it's really not that bad, as long as they're rinsed out. PSA: For the love of god, if you live in a state where you can recycle your cans and plastic and glass bottles, rinse them out before you bring them back to the recycling center. Even soda isn't that bad, it's just sticky. Beer is sticky and smells disgusting. And summer is going to be AWESOME, because of Memorial Day, and 4th of July and all those people stocking up for parties and stuff. I'm only half being sarcastic. Okay, maybe being 75 percent sarcastic.
