I was doing an early shift today (9am-5.30pm). Usually the early shift is 10am-6pm but it's earlier this week cos of bloody Star bloody Wars. (Both times I wrote shift, I wrote 'shit' by mistake, haha.) Anyway, I got the train in from Bournville. I planned to get the half 8 train cos I needed to go to the cash machine to get money, and get some water from the shop, and also that would give me change for the train ticket. So I got to the station about 25 past, got my ticket (full price, because railcards only work after 9.30am) and the train arrived about a minute late. But that's normal really, so maybe it wasn't late. I reckon they should just add a minute onto the timetable, it would be so much easier. And make more sense. ANYWAY, back on track. I got on the train, it started pulling out of the station and it stopped after 30 seconds or something daft like that. I thought it might have been a signal or something. But we were there for like 20 minutes! I had to ring work and at first they didn't pick up (because it was like, 8.35am) so I tried again at quarter to, and told them I'd be late. So annoying! When it did finally set off, it went really really slow. The train in front of us was broken or something. "Technical Difficulties".

I didn't have to do much of opening concessions because Anna and Caroline were already in (and on time!). I basically just stocked the fridge up of drinks, and then opened box office. There were two people waiting outside for ages, they kept waving at me and I kept having to signal "15 mins" and "10 mins" etc. They were waiting for Star Wars of course. It was pretty quiet up until half 1, and then loads of people turned up wanting to see the 2pm Star Wars. Then it was my break at 2 and I went to Greggs, it was very nice indeed.

Also at work, I was chatting with Karen and Rachael. And by chatting, I mean working very hard indeed and providing a wonderful service to the public of Birmingham. Anyway, I found out they both have Livejournals. How bizarre. If you are reading this, may I recommend having a look at enjoytheshow and customers_suck. We are not alone. (Also, amc_filmcrew. We are special people!)

Now I am at home nursing my very very sore feet. And thinking I might line my new bag so I can show it off at knitting/work tomorrow. Because I am super-crafty and super-cool. Oh yes.
