Frank let out a sigh of relief as his car actually made it into the parking lot of the repair shop. Where did that steam come from, seriously? Yes, it was a kind of cheap car, but it wasn't that old. Was eight years old for a car? Volvos were supposed to run forever, weren't they? Then suddenly -- STEAM and Frank was pretty sure he was going ( Read more... )

The brilliant thing about car manufacturing was that every so often a car rolled into the garage that reminded him of someone else's. Normally Kurt would have been able to run to get his dad to tell him that a car had pulled in smoking, but at the moment he was tied up. Usually, he was making coffee, buying donuts, or doing paperwork. Now though, he was in his coveralls with grease on his hands and a wrench in his hands. He was in the process of helping his dad when the car rolled in, so all he could do was yell out for him.

"Dad, a customer!"

Hopefully, the man could hear him.

Okay, so there were people here. That was good. Please fix his dying car, people. Ugh, what if it was dead? Or at least temporarily dead? What would he do tonight? He had SCHOOL tomorrow and had already missed a lot during Operation: Rescue Harper and... Frank rubbed at his eyes as he walked toward the garage proper. He might've almost ran into the wall because, well, his vision was blocked by his hand.

Where was his dad? Sighing, Kurt stopped what he was doing and moved to head out from behind the car.

"Sorry, my dad should be back in a ---"

Looking up at who it was, Kurt's words caught in his throat and he froze. This was not how he wanted his boyfriend to see him, nor how he wanted his dad to find out. Shit.

"...Hi."

"It's cool, I ju--"

Frank froze, suddenly connecting the voice, which had seemed weirdly familiar, but -- this couldn't be Kurt. In --overalls. And all grease-y and his hair was askew and fucking hell it was adorable.

"Hi. I-- was going to surprise you. I guess I did that."

if the smoke is white and coming out your exhaust it might be a metal head gasket needing replacement. Hope this helps
