Pepper Steak

1lb lean round steak - cut in long strips
1T paprika
2T butter or marg.
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1.5c beef broth & little water
sliced green onions - 5 or 6 with tops
2 green peppers, cut in strips
fresh mushrooms, chunked
2T cornstarch
1/4c carbonated water & soy sauce

Sprinkle meat w/ paprika. let stand. brown mushrooms in butter, take out. Brown meat, add garlic and broth. cover and simmer til meat is tender (about 1 hour) stir in onions, peppers and mushrooms. cover & cook few minutes. blend cornstarch, water & soy sauce. cook stirring until clear and thickened (couple minutes) serve over rice.
