Sticky Cinnamon Rolls

1.5c flour
1c white wheat flour
1/4c brown sugar
1 envelop rapid-rise yeast
1/2t s
1/2t cinnamon
3/4c warm water
1/4c (1/2 stick) butter, melted
1 egg
1.5c brown sugar
1c (2 sticks) butter, room temp
1c chopped walnuts
1T cinnamon
1/2c currants

mix 1st 6 ingredients in large bowl. add water, butter, egg & mix until smooth dough forms. transfer to greased bowl. Cover w/plastic & clean towl. Let dough rise until doubled, about 30 mins. Butter 9x13" baking dish. Bring 1c brown sugar & 1/2c butter to boil in small saucepan. boil 1 min, remove and stir in 1/2c nuts. pour into dish. punch dough down. roll out on lightly floured to 15x9". spread dough with remaining 1/2c butter. sprinkle with remaining 1/2c brown sugar & 1T cinnamon. Sprinkle w/remaining 1/2c nuts & currants. roll up jelly role style, starting @ one long side. slice dough into 1" rounds. put dough cut side in, spacing evenly. cover w/plastic. let rise until doubled, about 45 mins. preheat oven to 350°F, bake until golden, about 45 mins, let stand 5 mins, cool slightly. serve warm, turn over onto platter.
