Day 03 - The best book you've read in the last 12 months

I could very easily say Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, because damn if that book didn't grab me and suck me into the series hard. But I'm going to go with The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. That was read on a recommendation from nameitlater and that book just wrecked me. I think it took me three days to read over lunch from work, and it was just such an emotional rollercoaster, but not in a bad way? Like it had me hopeful and then it had me worried and sad and hopeful again and there were parts that were horrifying and there were an amazing amount of tears at the ending. I think back to that book and the ending of it, and I can still feel that sort of sick, sad feeling that I did when reading it because it just stuck with me. And yet it's not a downer book, really; I'm sort of left with that hopeful feeling at the very end. I kind of figure any book that can do that to me belongs in this spot.
