Stand back, citizens:

Edward Morgan Blake (that's me, for the less intelligent of you -- and yeah, I know my name sounds like a pirate's) has finished his Macedonia project. Are you shocked? Well that's because you underestimated me, you stupid bastard.

And no, Adrian didn't do it.

You're done already? I haven't even started. [Sigh.] I hate you.

I live with the walking Macedonia encyclopedia, which helped. You could just call him and ask for help.

Besides, I have to do something when he's working and not in the mood for me "harassing" him. ["Harassing him", of course, here meaning "having sex with him".]

I could but then I might be bored to tears. Then again the project is basically for him and Veidt....

I think he works far too much. [Leslie doesn't add "So he can just take off and leave us here."]

Trick is picking something mildly interesting. Adrian can make it interesting if you poke him enough.

He probably does. I've been doing my best to distract him, though. Not even on purpose, half the time.

You think I can convince him to do the project for me? Or just like...sit there and let him do all the work?

Sounds like fun. Who would have thought Eddie Blake and Adrian Veidt in a functioning happy relationship?

Probably not, sorry. He's smart, remember?

I know right? We didn't, but... [grins]

Maybe if I tell him I think I'm going to fail out because I'm too confused. Then I'll have to be a drifter.

It's weird but I still envy you. This happy thing almost doesn't belong here.

He'll just tell you to work harder.

Yeah. [thinks about Adrian's little trip and shuts up]

What if I start crying?

[Laughs,] One day I'll find someone who loves me and is willing to have that picket fence thing. As boring as that sounds.

Remind me not to be in the room. He might just throw you a cupcake.

It's only boring if you let it be. [shrugs]

[Raises an eyebrow.] You callin' me fat, Eddie?

Oh it will be chaos if that ever happened and I know it. Hope the husband can handle it. Especially if I run away to France or something.

Bullshit. Adrian just has lots of cupcakes.

[laughs]

That reminds me, when's Paris?

That he does, it's amazing isn't it?

Paris? I'm not sure. Soon I'd guess. Adrian and I haven't really spoken about it. And Ed still wants to come to make me happy and he's still off haranging his father.

I'm still trying to figure out when he makes them.

You should talk to him, so we have a date for when Ed gets back.

It's not like he sleeps much. And you tend to enjoy your time spent in the abyss.

Yeah but you live with him. Just tell him to pick a date. I'm free whenever. Preferably before the project is due. That way I have a plausible excuse and he can't get mad if it's late from me.

I don't know how Ed's mother will feel about him taking off after just getting back. Supposing he decides to come back.

There are lots of naps involved. Mostly after sex.

He'll want to talk to you anyway, I think. And seeing as the project is due pretty soon, I don't think that'll work -- and he'll just make you turn it in before we go.

I don't think she'll care, honestly. [He and Ed have talked about their parents before.] He's coming back. Unless he's in jail, although I think we would've heard if that was the case.
