Okay, sorry I've been lame and haven't posted in like two centuries. I've been busy...
Sunday - went to Dunn for my first low-Mass-during-Lent, expecting to be bored and confused. QUITE the opposite, my dear amigos, for it was one of the most beautiful Masses I've ever been to! And of course Fr P was kicking ass in his homily, as usual. So this week we're bringing Ross and Christina... now Christina will see what a Latin Mass SHOULD look like (as opposed to the one in Raleigh a few weeks ago...)
Unfortunately, due to a few different extenuating circumstances, my throat has been under attack all week. At first it felt like a chunk had been ripped out of it... and yesterday I lost my voice almost entirely. Singing is out of the question, I sound like a banshee. But I think I'm on the upswing now, hooray!
Obviously V-Day was this week. I continued the trend,
toppled, of wearing all black ;) And Aaron and I have our special plans made for tonight (I'm cooking, he's buying me nice things, you know the drill)... so on Thursday, our night consisted of spontaneously making fajitas por dos, going grocery shopping for odds and ends I've been forgetting, and running by the new chocolaterie for some really, REALLY good chocolates, which we're finishing off tonight.
Yes, I know, boring. We're old homebodies. :)
Last night was the weekly fish-fry at Newman... at some point I have to stop chopping garlic, or my fingers are going to reek for the entire 46 days of Lent. And then good old Riley showed up, a bit sauced, and made hilariously inappropriate comments all night long. Poor grad students at the table didn't know what hit them... at least Erin and Ross were amused.
Anyway... I'm super-busy today. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm making Aaron's favorite meal... chicken pot pie. FROM SCRATCH. And before that, I have a meeting (I'm leaving in 30 minutes) in Wilson... which is 1.5 hours away, each way. So that sucks. But I'm excited... it's been a crazy week but at least it's nothing like last semester...
WEB-PIMPING
Oh, and if you don't already, please read
Ctrl-Alt-Del. It is a FABULOUS comic, and I don't read comics.
And if you love blogs, read
RagingServer. He works at something akin to a Dave & Busters (he won't give out names) - and he gets the most ghetto-fabulous people in there. Amazing.
