I'm so incredibly happy to hear that, seriously ;;. I always have such an obsession with trying to get the right amount of detail, so I'm really glad you thought that worked. Ffff- I adore Bel so much, but yeah, when his favorite hobby is sticking knives into living things until they're not so living anymore, it's a pretty bad idea to forget that he's completely batshit insane.

Well, you could say that his twin dying was a childhood trauma. Except for the fact that Bel was the one who killed him. And then lol'd about it. But yes, that's my favorite thing about him- there's no reason at all for him to be that crazy, he just is. And apparently enjoys it very much, if all that laughter is anything to go by.

Every time another psychotic character has a tragic backstory, I die a little inside .__. 'Biological' is the right word, considering Rasiel was just as bad (actually more of a brat, imo). But that makes me wonder- were their parents just some completely normal king and queen, or were they the exact same? Can you imagine an entire family of happy, eyeless psychopaths? In charge of a country? I can't decide if I would stay there for the lulz, or run for my life
Also- Undertaker icon! I am completely convinced that somehow, due to the magic of fandom, he and Bel are related. Creepy uncle/creepy nephew? I bet the Undertaker babysat the twins when they were little <3...ffff- I think I just gave myself a new fic to write D:

I've been trying to think of something smart to say here, but seriously I just can't. This is like, the best contrast of Rasiel and Bel I've ever read, seriously. I'm so bad at writing things like that out, but reading something well-written like this really helps me focus when I'm writing *saves comment, like a creeper.* The chess board vs. toy box thing- SO ACCURATE. Rasiel is so removed from everything, like telling Olgert to fight for him, while Bel actually likes playing with people. And the difference between playthings and toys- I think that's really important too. Toys are meant to be played with, some toys are even meant to be kept and played with again and again I'm still not sure if Mammon counts as a toy or a babysitter, though, while chess pieces are just thrown away. Completely agree with you- I love the contrast of crazy with these two. They complement each other well, in a mutually homicidal sort

This is why I think the Undertaker would adore them. They would make him laugh, and he would tell them creepy fairy tales and feed them bone cookies and show them the quickest way to remove a person's heart go in through the stomach and then up under the ribs :D. SUCH A HAPPY FAMILY.
