2 is pretty easy to manage, although it helps if you have a guide.

Mind expanding on 5 and 5b a bit? Curious wizard is curious.

Revisit, I should say. It hasn't shown me too much trouble so far.

You ever heard of Thomas Carnacki?

It's not too bad if you're prepared for it.

Name sounds familiar but I can't really place it.

Bit messy with me still a tad low on supplies, but definitely manageable.

Occult detective. Discovered the Sigsand Manuscript and went about discovering things nasty and unknown when he heard about some unexplained phenomenon.

What sort of supplies are you looking for? I happen to run a magic shop.

Did he let lose the nasty things or just find them?

The things I'd want the most are irreplaceable, but the rest of it is just the usual. Holy water, lots of salt, bloodsand, and Abramelian oil.

Find them, document them, and shut them down, where possible. Smartest man in a century, I've been told.

Holy water and salt are pretty easy to come by. Not sure what the other two are but I can check around.

Sounds like my kind of fellow.

Bloodsand: sand from a sea of blood. Abramelin oil: originally Jewish sacred oil. If you can't find the first I won't be too surprised, if you can't find the second I'll just make it myself.

Don't suppose you have a sidekick who's writing books about you?

Well, let me work my magic (figuratively speaking) to see what I can find.

Molly or Carlos had best not be writing books about me.

Fair enough.

Carnacki took all the popularity he could get, but for the most part he deserved it. It's just not my type of thing.

Is magic commonly known to be real in your world?

Only as much as people believe in ghosts and aliens and the like.

Not coming from your world I have no idea how much people believe in that stuff.

Right. It's superstition and myth, science is what most people believe in and most science doesn't touch that shit with a ten foot pole. Magic is something you either grow out of or turn into one of those uppity granola-eaters. I tell people I'm a magician and they think - card tricks, rabbits out of hats. Better?

Yup, sounds pretty much just like my world and the reactions that I get.
