Democratic County Convention

I went to caucus today for the county democratic convention. I have no idea what I was thinking. It was insane. It was frustrating as hell. It was insane. It was fucking awesome. Did I mention it was insane?

We got there around 7:30 in the morning to meet up with our precinct. There were six of us, we were all close and happy, it was a nice morning

Fascinating insight into what 'the caucus' is all about...
I am certain that whatever the Dems conjure up here in Orygun,
it will be as stimulating as the one you attended.

Of course not.....
BUT some of the stunts that politicians pull
border on the elementary.....and while
we are speaking of useless,
I believe that there are some antiquated practices
that need to be addressed e.g. the electoral college which was probably
fine when it was inaugurated but it is seriously out of date
now!!
Finally, the concept of super delegates. Are you telling
me that some politician could get supers to vote for him/her, even tho they have not done well in the primaries/caucuses etc., and the will of
the people be damned??
I think not unless the Dems want the party split wide open...

What happens is that, since we have a Clinton majority here, the majority can finagle the rules so they are an even bigger majority, and the minority sort of ceases to exist. The Chief Speaker was for Clinton, too, and he was constantly cutting off the people he didn't agree with. Like I said, juvenile and depressing.

I believe what Governor Richardson said is true....
There is a sense of entitlement when it comes to the Clintons.
Therefore, whatever it takes.
Trouble is, the American people are beginning to wonder, and
particularly in the latest Hillary snafu regarding her
danger when she visited Bosnia.
I guess if you tell a story often enough, you begin to believe it yourself......

Plus, it pisses me off that this country has been run by two of the same families for the last, what, twenty years? It's not a freaking monarchy, give someone else the wheel for a little while.
