Yeah, you can change it after a while. I'm getting a smaller bar put in soon because it swells up at first so you need a longer bar. But you can put a ring in after, it just heals better with a bar, I was told.

A lip piercing would suit you. :)

You can get it pierced with a ring right away, but it can cause you to get blisters on the inside of your mouth and it heals slower.

And by process do you mean how they pierce it?

A friend did mine 'cause he's like, a piercist. :)

Well, I'd advise you to get a bar as well but it doesn't really matter if you're not too bothered about healing times and stuff.

And I just got the place on my lip that I wanted pierced marked out with a pen dot and then a clamp thing was used to gently hold my lip out and down so that the inside was visible. Then like, a metal spike thingy was used to push through my lip and then the bar put in and the end screwed on. It was over in a few minutes. Loverly. :)

And I didn't have to pay 'cause the guy loves meee. :o

Man, did it sting? or does it hurt?
also, can you tell me about the healing process, like how long does it take? what do you recommend? a bar? or a ring? :S

It didn't hurt at all.

You're not supposed to change the piercing for about 8 weeks after and it heals better with a bar. But your choice. :D

No, it's a bar. I got an 8 bar at the moment and when the swelling goes down I get a 6 put in. You can just see a stud at the front though and it has a flat bit at the back.
