yesterday and now
yesterday i took my ged test and it was long and boring, but i did it and i think i did very well but i don't want to jinx it. i met a few new people that i'm glad does not know where i live or my phone number, because it was two girls, both potheads and one a coke head. i also met the nicest gay boi named rob. erin is the coke/pothead who used to work at shoney's on lane ave. and she knows shirley and michelle and coleal....lol told me dirt on them. jessica (jess) is just a pothead who smokes all the time with her boyfriend and lives in mandrin and used to work at the lava cafe then it closed down and she just got a new job at some cafe or bistro or something, but i told them i wasn't into that, cigs are all i smoke and it was cool, we talked whenever we had breaks and it was okay.
matt came up to fccj to show me his AMAZINGLY SEXY CAR! it was soooooo nice, oh god, wow, and he's changed too! he was more of a gentleman, he was buff, he was more mature, i was totally shocked because i expected good old matt to be exactly as he was last summer but with a new car, and he wasn't he's really, i donno, better now. And thank god he's growing his hair back out, I'm so glad, i couldn't stand it short like that. he is still single and that's surprizing! But we talked for a little bit about school and fccj and work and everything, told him about shoney's and being a waitress and all that good stuff. then he left and i had to go back in for another part of the test.
Well, i left fccj and then came back home, brain completely mush....and got to work at shoney's by 6. It was horrible! I got my apron and all that and started making tips and one table, oh god, i felt horrible, i did everything i could possibly do to make their stay enjoyable and then they ordered dessert. We have to make their desserts and that's something I have not learned yet, so i was doing my best when we ran out of whipped cream (vanilla) so me and my manager thomas when on a whipped cream hunt in the freezer which led to my doing some gymnastics in cold storage.....THE FREEZER and in the process of busting my ass to get this to make the perfect dessert, the light got pulled out of the top holder and thomas had to fix that while we both juggled boxes of frozen things that we had no idea what they were and it was just so......omg. then i finally found some whipped cream and it was the wrong kind, but it was all we had left....CHOCOLATE...ick.
so i had lisa tell my table that we had to go get some fresh whipped cream for their desserts and she said that they didn't want it anymore that they were checking out and pissed off.
i was really upset.
katrina and thomas both told me thinks like this happen all the time and not to sweat it and all that, so i gave the free desserts to andy and smiley, and in turn later on that night smiley gave me 2 dollars, which was sweet of him, maybe it was the look of defeat on my face, maybe it was the make-shift free desserts and all that, and i don't know, but it was not my favorite part of a new experience.
anyways, on top of all this i got up this morning to mama carol informing me that cheryl will be in town later on today and she will want to see me either tonight after work (i get off at 10pm) or TOMORROW when i'm off work.
