A poll on polloftheday made me start thinking.
Isn't it absurd that roses, a hard-stemmed and thorny flower, symbolize love? Sure, the petals are gentle and soft, but hold the stem- it's foundation- the wrong way and it hurts. Love shouldn't be so tempermental. If it is, it's not real love. It's almost like people are wanting to get hurt.
