Sitting home waiting for Steve to come home from an out of town work thingie so we can leave for OH. Where I will wear this:
Yeah. Actually, as far as potential skating costumes go, this one isn't that bad. I tried it on with and without a "foundation garment", and found that it looks just as good without a girdle. Yay.
As normal, I went through my skate bag. And I'm sure what in my skate bag is desperately interesting, so here is a picture:
Apparently, I am collecting over the boot tights. Four pairs. Two black, two nude. What else? Patch and medals from previous competitions. Extra boot laces. Soaker guards and hard guards. And my skates, of course. Klingbeils. Ten years old this summer. Custom made for my little feet.
Thrilling, no? Wait until later when I post pictures of practice and competition.
Snowed today, but I don't think the roads will be affected. The trip is three and a half to four hours. Get there, check into hotel (which will be OVERRUN with shrieky little skaters. And their moms. Who are just as bad), get some food, wait around until we have practice.
At eleven tonight.
Yeah.
We skate just before noon tomorrow, and we're the last group before on ice awards, so we can probably leave soon after.
For whatever reason, I'm more anxious about this one than usual. It's two and a half minutes, for pete's sake.
Oh man. Watching "How Clean is Your House" on BBC. I have a really strong stomach, but this show always gets me. We might be untidy, but we are NOT filthy. I can't believe otherwise mentally healthy people could live like this. Yikes.
