OH my. It's dark here in my dark place.
Yeah. In that not good Dark Place right now. I'll come out. Eventually.
so tonight was a station event....dinner out at a Really Fancy Place. It was pretty fun. Lasted two hours longer than planned. Dinner was DELISH. For the function, we had a prix fixe menu. I chose the crab crusted salmon with rock shrimp and a wine sauce. oh yeah. And my molten chocolate cake thingie....bliss.
Tomorrow night, it's the philharmonic.
Speaking of which....I got home to find a message on my voice mail that the phil concert we were airing was being aired with ANOTHER program stream. I think I know what happened....someone left a fader up. What's most annoying is that the person who called me FiRST called the music director, who knew DAMN good and well where I was, because she was at the same function at a different place....so I am annoyed that A: she totally passed the buck when she could have fixed the problem as easily as I could have, especially since my function was still carrying one, and B: she gave my home phone number to someone! Sheesh!
Sometimes I feel like she loves to throw me under the bus. Meanwhile, my whole job is to pull people from under the bus wheels.....which I do quite well. But she likes to make everything crash into each other and then watch the mayhem.....
I definitely need a vacation. I need to stare at a large body of water for several days.
