Well today's the day we finally meet our dogs. This morning we'll get to work with practice dogs, so we can see what it's like to work with a real dog. Personally, I think it's just a way to kill time until this afternoon, so the instructors get to see us all anxious and stuff. lol Oh the waiting is killing me! I have asked for a male dog this time, bigger then Maeve was, who is playful but gentle, and who likes children and babies. I hope I don't get a dog like Elliott who is constantly either screwing or eating everything. Unfortunately though, I thihnk Elliott's problems are more due to his owner then him, because I remember how great he was in class. I've asked for a light coloured dog this time, mostly because I had a black dog last time. I really don't care what colour the dog is, but they asked me if I had a prefverence, and I really wouldn't mind having a yellow dog. So we'll see at 1:00 what we get. I'm guessing very little eating will be going on at lunch today,. It will most likely be our last quiet meal, so they say, but I don't remember the dogs putting up much of a fuss last time I was here. From what I remember, Maevey-gravy laid down and fell asleep at my feet, and proceeded to stay asleep for most of the next day.
I'm really happy because my cold's getting better too. I'm blowing my nose alot lately which is good, although slightly annoying. My Colyn's doing b etter too, from what I hear. I called Corey yesterday and she said he's eating lots, and he playes with Steve alot. It's so hard to be away from him, but I know this was the right thing to do. I really can't wait to tell my dog all about how he'll have a little boy to play with when we go home. I hope Colyn takes well to our new dog too. Andy, Janet, Mom?...If you're reading this, please tell my Colyn that mommy loves him very much, all the way to the moon and back times 2, and that I miss him, and can't wait to come home to kiss, cuddle, and play with him. Give him lots of extra TLC so he won't miss me too, because I told him he wasn't supposed to miss me at all while I'm gone. And tell him I'm bringing a special friend home, just for him. Oh yeah, and tell him that everybody here thinks he's adorable, and they're right.
So this morning we're having practice dogs, and we get to do basic obedience with a real dog, just to kill time and see what it's like although most of us already know. Then we'll have lunch, hamburgers, hoitdogs and fries, and then this afternoon we meet to hear the names of our dogs, and then the instructors will bring them to our rooms to meet us. They usually would bring us to the Campbell lounge to meet our dogs, so we could spend some time with them outside of our rooms. But right now there's no Campbell lounge because of the construction, so that's not happening.
Well since we have some down time, I'm going to check out Chillingham. I've heard it's pretty interesting, and since I have some time, I might as well make use of it.
I'll let you know how it goes, and I'll definitely right more later. although as usual, I'm not sure when that will be. Oh, and those of you who have lj's, I've added you to my friend's list.
