Today, in taking divdean and Dana to the airport, I felt like I actually said good-bye to school. There was something rather comforting in May about saying see you in a few weeks, but now, there will be an undetermined amount of time before I actually do see school people again. Those out east are the ones who know my stories and my journey from the past five years in a very different way since they've been a part of it.
It was so good yet so bizzare to have David and Dana here this week. Eating breakfast with Dana in my kitchen, having her meet my cousins, having her meet Karen and Preston - that's my three worlds colliding right there. So now, with them leaving Winnipeg, I'm left to what's here. A bit of a foreign environment, which will need some work to be able to relate to fully again. How do you catch people up on something like 5 years of your life? How do you know who knows what, who should know what? Thinking back on school makes me wonder about some of the connections here, how they change now that I'm fully back in Winnipeg, and how this all works in terms of relating with people.
Do you know? I wonder if you do.
