Well, the election has been called in favor of Barack Obama. He is now the 44th president of the United States.
Now, it's time to move past red and blue and republican and democrat as President elect Obama and Sen. John McCain have both stated. It is my hope that we can unify the country and restore prosperity.
However, as US citizens we need to question the government, start debates, write our members in congress and be critical of all government in order to make sure the new Democratic majority is doing what they are supposed to be doing. If you are a Democrat don't let that stop you from researching and questioning your own party. if you are a Republican please question the government just as you would if McCain had won. Now is not the time to be bitter. We had 8 years of bitterness and it doesn't work.
I may sound like a politician here, but I fervently believe that we need to work together to succeed. We are ALL AMERICANS and we all have the same goals, aspirations and we all wish to get working on a brighter future so lets get to it.
