grizzly man
oh my. did you ever hear about the guy who lived with wild grizzlies up in alaska until he and his girlfriend eventually got eaten by them? well, this german documentary filmmaker made a movie about the grizzly man called "grizzly man". the grizzly man had taken loads of his own footage of himself, the bears, foxes, etc., some of which is pretty incredible, and herzog, the filmmaker, used a lot of that, as well as interviewing the grizzly man's friends and family. it's supposed to be a serious documentary, and it's really sad because you know he gets eaten, but i swear, this thing is like one of those "mock-u-mentaries" like best in show and a mighty wind, except... it's not. i don't know if i should feel horrible about it, but "grizzly man" had me in tears (of laughter), and i wasn't alone. has anyone else seen this movie? if not, you need to. especially andrea.
