The Grey Man:
Based on the man hunt for one Albert Fish after the disappearance of Gracie Budd, there is actually very little to complain about with this movie But there are three big gripes I have about the movie. Most all of them involve Albert Fish and the Actor portraying him.
Patrick Bauchau did a great job playing the role of Albert Fish, I just want to get that out of the way. It is just that his accent was wrong for the character, it had the whole Creepy Foreigner vibe to it, where as Fish was a completely unassuming man, aside from the occasional odd profanity laced letters he would send, that part they got right. The other thing is the relationship between Albert and Albert Jr. While I'm not familiar with that relationship in detail from what I have read Albert Fish was a saint to his kids (Remember, unassuming).
The Other thing that makes me go "He-n?" is the depictions of the lead investigator and Mrs. Budd, mind you I don't know much about these two people (more people write about the whack-a-do than the detectives or victims' families.) But something seems amiss in their portrayals. But like I said I don't know much about it.
Aside from those things this movie is damned eerily close to the real case. Well acted, well filmed, this was an entertaining movie I highly recommend it.
