Been a bit....
So....survived BG Baronial. It went well, I think. People had fun. The tourney format worked really well. A nice combination of letting folks play persona but in the end, you still had to fight well enough to win. Push comes to shove, I am a fighter. It is what I do...not great at persona, not wonderful at being a courtier. I happen to be good at hitting someone with a sword. I can enjoy the other parts...but I like that in the end, it came down to who could win the fight.
Not to say I did not enjoy the persona aspects of the list. Basically, each fighter was told to make 7 challenges. One for each Virtue. You were not limited to challenging someone on the field, folks could challenge others and have them name a champion. So in the end, we had a Champion for both armored and rapier...as well as the 7 people that were challenged the most for each of the virtues. IIRC, 3 of those that were named as Virtues were not on the field. I am still not sure why, but I was selected for Faith. Something I am not sure about most days...
The event went smoothly, the party never did happen. Good idea, not the best execution. Oh well.
And only one major explosion at the end. Have not killed anyone yet....but it is tempting. Resolution still waiting to be found. Sigh
Oh well...we will see.
