Happy 2015! Happy New Year Guys! Despite the hardships and lack of any emotional direction, 2015 is here^^ I hope you guys had a blessed and a blast celebrating the coming of this year. Mines was pretty quiet: close family friends, plenty of little kids, food and of course, backyard fireworks! New Year celebrations in England, particularly here in the North isn't as loud as in some other countries, but at least it wasn't as cold like last time. Although two years ago, it snowed! Three years consecutively if I recall it right. I miss the snow^^
Anyways, in keeping with the spirit of the New Year, here's some celebratory icons to spice up LJ. I hope it's appreciated. In some traditions and cultures, circles or anything round that might resemble coins is a symbol of 'GoodLuck' and a 'Profiting-Financial-Year' (Money) therefore some people are wild about wearing polka-dots on NY and NY's Eve. And/ or filling their pockets with (a lot) of coin. Hence, 5 round-icons with our favourite magic 5. 15 Gift Icons for 15 years that Arashi have been together. Plus, apparently this year's lucky colour is green. That's why these are shaded with tints of green. And it's the reason why every single person at our New Year Family's Do is wearing something green. Plus, it's the year of the ram/sheep. I'm not sooo superstitious but it doesn't hurt some - well, I guess this makes me kind-of-superstitious^^
P.S. I wonder if anyone is writing a New Year's Resolution? I'm not but I did write a few days ago a timetable listing all the things I need to do and accomplish. I think this is much more realistic. Plus, amongst other things, Uni friends have been conceiving plans for a reunion for a couple of years now since. One suggestion was OktoberFest. After a year ago's plan for such a meeting was foiled by unforeseen bad-situations, this year feels optimistic (albeit laid-back).
