last night my family went out for elizabeth's birthday dinner to the boathouse restaurant on harbour island. i left my camera at home so i was unable to take photos, which i am pretty upset about because the sunset and the cityline was especially beautiful last night.
last week katy, alison and i planned the dates when we will do fun things this summer. since we all have jobs, we must plan in advance. so on tuesday, we are going to the fair, in a couple of weeks we are going to disneyland, and then at the end of july we are staying at the Beverly Pavilion hotel in Beverly Hills and pretend to be california tourists. We are going to swim in the rooftop pool. I already saved enough in tips from only two days of work to be able to pay for my share of the hotel price.
i woke up and baked cookies and watched the price is right. oh the price is right reminds me very much of my grandma on my dad's side. she would watch this show every day although i don't think she understood much of dialogue. she and my grandpa and their typical sicilian house...filled with many glass grape decorations, walls covered with pictures of their children and grandchildren, all their furniture covered in sticky plastic.
i saw firetrucks& news reporters in hollywood. i think an office building was on fire.
