Mark and Laura are parents!
okay, not really, but one of the indoor/outdoor cats is! Missy, the not-so-quite feral kitty has had two kittens tonight!
They're tiny, barely as long as my indew finger and look mostly like drowned rats...
Missy went into labour about an hour ago under Bonnie's bed and started yowling, poor mom, she was just about asleep... oh well, yeah, she was going to have them under the bed, but instead Mongo, in his ever present curiousity decided to see what all the ruckus was about and she darted! leaving a kitten in a bloody mess at the edge of the bed... we rescued that one in a towel and followed Missy to the couch where she went on to have another...
Now, kittens and momma are all well as far as we can tell and huddled up under the couch. They're (hopefully) going to be moved somewhere else during Beltane tomorrow night but until then, there are hour-old kittens! squee!
