Summary: Kyuhun wakes up in a unfamiliar world.
White, that’s all I saw… Every plane, every sight just filled with endless white. No borders, no horizons but just an empty white space. That’s where I was.
“ky….…n”
A murmur. I turn towards where I heard the staticky noise. It’s so white, and so bright that it’s hard to tell where I am. It was as if my white clothes and pale skin seem to be soaking into the pure white surrounding as if melting into pure white snow. I was so confused. Where am I? Why am I here?
“Kyu…h…..n!!”
Again the voice. I look and look but no one was there. Left to right, but nothing. The unmoving, still, empty white place surrounded me. No wind, no movement, no warmth, no coldness, and the air; tasteless. Not knowing what to do the only option was to run towards the voice. I ran and ran trying to follow the unclear sound as it grew louder, and the voice became clearer. My feet hit against the hard floors as I kicked the ground with my bare foot. Left then right, but every kick didn’t hurt. I couldn’t feel anything. No pain no exhaustion. But as I ran more the light became brighter and intense. I squinted and tried to reach the echoing voice. The sound, the voice. Everything is so familiar but I can’t quite spell it out.
Who is it?
I was left in this motionless world clueless as a new born baby coming into the new world. Nothing I could do. So vulnerable and powerless, but the only choice left was to run.
Just run
Run
…..run
“NOOOO KYUHYUN!!”
The broken words suddenly were placed together to call my name. I quickly halted and looked above to where I heard the mysterious voice.
Who are you?
“Kyuhyun!! Kyuh.. “BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP””
Right when I could clearly hear my name being called, a shrilling beep had filled the space. The sound pierced my ears as it stung my head.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”
I opened my mouth to scream a yell that couldn’t be heard. The yell was over ridden by the alarming, one tone high pitch. I opened my mouth loudly holding both ears. The beeping gradually got to an extreme intensity and I couldn’t withstand it anymore. The sound pushed me to the ground as if it had the power to multiply the force of gravity. My body started to crumble toward the floor and fell to the white hard surface. I rolled up huddling myself to protect my vulnerable body from the loud piercing sound as it attacked me from every side.
“BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”
The intense high pitch never stopped. It grew louder and more intense as the seconds passed. I continued to scream in pain and anguish.
No more.,,
no more….
NO MORE!!!!
At that moment red liquid exploded out of my ears and painted the pure white floors. It was like fireworks that lit the white sky and dispersed into the air. The sprayed color dyed the white canvas and the wine colored blood spilled slowly in the air shifting colors through space. The red droplets rained in the world of white. I then collapsed on the floor.
Little by little the white floor was stained by the red liquor that drizzled out my ear and eventually my eyes as well. Scarlet beads slowly made its way to bridge my eyes with the floor. The white world now had a bright white sky with a stained red ground. I was lying motionless on the floors, just as the surrounding world, crying as my tears tainted even more of the floors.
Please…no more….no…more…..
The ringing noise continued on but gradually became distant and faded away. The single pitched note just resonated through the space echoing with a slight reverb. It might have just been the fact that my ears had gotten deaf or I lost conscious but the ringing had become almost soothing.
This torturous noise doesn’t hurt me anymore… it’s a lullaby now.
I smiled.
At that moment, as if the smile triggered something, from the red floor stained by my blood blossomed beautiful red flowers. The ground was filled with long stemmed red flowers, and each long petal that bloomed like fireworks contrasted beautifully with the white sky.
I slowly smiled again and closed my eyes while I watched the flowers bloom besides me. I realized the flowers starting to engulf me as they grew rapidly. Sprouts started to grow on my left hand and vines started to entangle me to the floor. The flowers started to pierce through me and grew instantly into the most gorgeous flowers I have ever seen. Another red bead of tears ran down my cheek as I smiled now knowing I can finally rest in peace in a beautiful world.
“KYUHYUN!!!!!!”
But at that moment a loud crashing noise interrupted the tranquility.
I then was showered with thousands of small broken pieces of the white sky as it shattered upon me like a broken glass.
My world shattered into pieces. As soon as the sky shattered, the colorless world collapsed in. The blackness imploded and I blacked out.
…Beep beep beep
“He’s breathing again! His pulse is back!”
“Kyuhyun!”
Everything was a blur. Multiple blurs that moved rigorously came in sight.
Finally my vision became clearer. I woke up to the inside of a small space with medical equipments. I heard the siren ringing endlessly while moving through what seemed like traffic.
“Kyuhyun!”
I looked at my arms bandaged and realized I was on a stretcher on an ambulance. Something was holding my left hand tightly. It was a familiar warm feeling. I looked over on my bandaged hand and realized it was Donghae holding my hand while bursting with overflowing tears.
“Do…ng..hae?”
I slowly mutter out words.
“Ky…uhyun..your back…. I thought… we lost you.”
Donghae responded as he gently smiled with tears running down. I smiled back.
