A proper kind of post
Well hello, Livejournal, long time no see.
It's been busy lately mostly because I've gotten myself two new kittens. A black and white first, who was thrown out a car window in front of the clinic at three weeks old. He's nine week this week and doing wonderfully and likes to bite the shit out of everything. His name is Herman and I think (fingers crossed.) we're going to keep him because he's my baaaaaby.
Just last wednesday I got another kitten, he was found injured in the parking lot near where my mother works. We think someone though they were the Humane Society since she works about two blocks from their shelter and three from their intake facility. Anyway, it turned out he had a cutarebra in his skin, which is a botfly maggot. It had formed an abscess and become very badly infected. When I got him he was going into shock and dropping his temperature very fast. Paul says he would have died in within a couple of hours if we hadn't found him. He's doing really well now and is six weeks old. He's got to be the fluffiest kitten I've ever seen in my life, a super long hair who's grey and white. He's so god damn adorable. He's such a lover too, he's going to make someone a really great pet when he's ready to go to his new home! His name is Grubbory (Like Gregory except with Grub in it.)
Other than that, I finally finished my Information Literacy class which blew balls and took my two exams on it today and got a 70 on one and a 100 on the other, pretty good all in all! So I get to start on Biology next, woo!
Right now I'm just chillin' waiting for little Grub to poop so I can clean his litter box. (He's in my mom's room atm and she's sick and the smell might make her puke haha.)
I got a sewing machine for my birthday and I really really want to start using it but I haven't been able to get myself any lessons, as they be expensive and the only other person who offered to teach me was Alex's extremely prejudice and catholic grandmother who kind of scares me. I really want to make a messenger bag with lots of pockets and enough room to hold my life and my laptop. D: Maybe one of my new kittens inside it too. I really need to start making clothes if I want to have Rei Ayanami done in time for ACen. Blaaaah, it's had to think that it's almost convention season again.
Speaking of conventions, anyone know where I can buy red contacts in prescription that won't cost me a huge arm and a leg? I know they'll be expensive, but trying not to breech 100/150 dollars, since they'll probs be a christmas present. Any cheaper than that would be wonderful, but I won't hold my breath haha.
I really need a new phone too, my current one like to crap out on me a lot and turn it's self off randomly in it's death throes. It is two years old though.. RIP enV3, you were a good phone. D:
