Brief Gushing

On Monday night, I dragged my friend to the Broadway in South Africa concert, so that I could gush over all the loveliness and she would have no idea what I was talking about.

Julia Murney and Renee Elise Goldsberry sang a lovely little duet. Their voices blended beautifully and they appeared to be the same height. They sang standing side by side and looking straight ahead at the audience until they turned towards each other to end the song. They gazed affectionately at one another waiting for final notes to finish, which was just long enough that it almost became awkward.

Kate Shindle was quite impressive. Twice. Her voice is INTENSE.

Kendra Kassebaum was psyched about her song.  She practically pranced on and off the stage. Her voice was so adorable and perfect for singing about being a princess (even if she forgot a few words). And I’m pretty sure she looked right at me for a few seconds. I’m serious, right at me.

And I don’t think there’s any way that Eden Espinosa can’t be amazing. She’s flawless, perfection, adorable, sweet. I could go on, but pretty much the point is: I LOVE EDEN. LOVE.

So I realized as I was explaining to my friend who all the performers were and why I love them so much, that I am a dorky Broadway fangirl. It’s official.
