I disappeared again, but for a good reason this time!
I had my baby!
Three weeks ago I was constantly throwing up and ended up admitted to the hospital for dehydration. They released me the same day, but on the way home my car overheated (it's now fixed after a couple hundred dollars).
The next week I had another check-up at the dr's office. While there they again checked my blood pressure and it was higher than normal. They sent me back to the hospital for a non-stress test that monitors the baby. He was fine. But they were still concerned that my blood pressure was so high, so I several tests run for pre-eclampsia, which is what caused me to have Kairi early.
Sure enough, that Friday when I went in for the test results I was diagnosed w/ pre-e. They sent me into labor and delivery that afternoon where they started to induce me. Unfortunately, b/c of the medicine they use to control the pre-e labor never became consistent and Saturday morning I had a c-section. SO:
Saturday, October 27, 2007 @ 8:12am Alexander James was born!
He checked in at 5lbs 15.8oz. He was 17.75in long, and his head was 13in around!
He's doing fabulously. Chris was able to be there too!
Chris deployed this last Monday. He'll be gone until June or July. I'll begin my move back to Texas on the 19th, so I've been busy trying to get ready for that.
