ello mates! back with another tutorial. it's no very hard. you just have to know the basics of PS CS!

we're going from this:
to this:

okie, get your base, mine being of hermione from the trailer of GOF!!!!!!!!!

-duplicate once, sharpen, set to screen and flatten. duplicate again, set to screen. Between the base and the duplicate, make a new layer, set it to color, 100 and use white or black.
-new layer, color burn, 20 gradient by crumblingwalls as are the next ones:

-new layer, pin light, 100, gradient:

-duplicate the base layer, a.k.a, the layer at the very bottom, and paste over everything, set it to screen at 57 and desaturate.
-new layer, exclusion, 45, dark blue color.
-new layer, color, black at 17%.
-new layer, use a texture by dorky_duck, soft light, 41%:

-new layer, another texture by dorky_duck, color burn, 100%:

-again, go down ALL the way to the first layer, the base, copy and paste it over everything and set it to softlight.
-now, from that layer, which will now be the top layer, selet a certain space with the marquee tool, I selected a bit of her face, copy the area and paste wherever you like.
-desaturate the layer, duplicate and set it to screen.
-now, using the pen tool, make lines to outline the picture you pasted.
-add your text. I wrote hermione at the side, then just a girl and some rubbish with little text.
"hermione" AvantGarde MD BT, 24pt.
"just a girl" same text, 12pt.
the little things at the bottom were writen with the same text, 2pt. just for decorations.
-new layer, add this brush by dorky_duck:

-new layer, screen, 100%, gradient:

-go down to the bottom, copy the base, paste it on top of everything and set it to softlight.
and tada! you're done. now if you feel it's too light, you can lower the capacity for the screen layer and duplicate the top layer. and for this image, I couldn't see the blakc and white image I pasted earlir so you can erase the screen layer, and whatever comes after that which blocks it.
I did that. after my screen layer I pasted the base twice, both at softlight, erased everything from the black and white image and got this:

just a bit different.
I hope that was easy enough, and I'd love to see what you guys come up with. if you don't understand feel free to ask:D
