Um, what are the...the little plants with the tear-shaped leaves and the white berries? Why are they hanging everywhere?

S'called Mistletoe. It's a Christmas tradition to leave it hanging around, and when two people are under it at the same time, they're supposed to kiss.

Yep. Great for romantic comedies, sitcoms, and bad pick-up artists.

It's not necessary if you don't want to, though.
