a. This is the Jesus airfreshener in Ali's Subaru... or now Charlie's Subaru. I wonder if it's still there. It's been with us through it all, skipping class, going on adventure road trips, driving Ali off to college, getting high at lunch, getting pulled over. Jesus is the best. I'm pretty sure he's stoned, too.
b. I went to St. Matthew's school for kindergarden through sixth grade. Of course, attending the weekly 'mass' was a mandatory. This statue of Mary used to be at the front of the church, i think. At the beginning of the summer i went back to the church basement for a child care thing and the Mary statue was tucked into a dark corner. Good. It's creepy. I don't like religous statues at all.
c. My dear friend Zeb, looking so emo at a 'party' at Laura's house. Zeb's amazing. I don't know him very well and i probably never will. I don't know weather or not to love or hate the concept of a person like him. He's beautiful and intelligent. I don't quite get him, but i don't think he does things to affect how people view him, thought it may seem that way. I think he's real.
d. Laura at Warped Tour. God, i love her. What more can i say? She's everything i want to be.
e. The inside of the Explorer. There's the center console that i removed and reinstalled. I didnt' like this picture at all because i'd just taken it because there was one more exposure left on the roll of film and i wanted to get it developed. So i snapped this picture. But really, it has my car, my mp3, warm coffee. That's a lot of my life right there.
f. Laura once again, standing outside at a bonfire at her house. She looked so much like a boy, i had to ask her to look like she was peeing for some humor. Ah ha ha.
g. Laura and Marcus at Warped Tour. They don't look like my friend, they look like characters i pulled off the street. I think i like that about them.
h. Kait at the cliffs by Kila. It was just starting to be really warm and sunny for the summer. I think Kait loves that. It was cool to appreciate beauty for a moment and take a cliche, stockphoto-esque picture.
i. 'The meth lab'. This is what first got Ali and i on our exploring abandoned buildings thing. We've had a lot of fun taking peole up to this place at night and getting pretty freaked out. Just look at it, it's terrifying! Even in the daylight. It's been burnt down now, though.
