Ok, this is going to be an utterly pointless post because I'm bored. School doesn't start until half past eleven, so I still got some time to waste.
I just called the kindergarten in order to get some information about the internship I'm planning on doing. You know, whether it's possible at all, whether they want a résumé, stuff like that... The woman on the phone sounded kind of repellent, nevertheless she invited me to come around sometime next week to get a personal impression of me and maybe even fix a date.
She asked what I wanted to do an internship for. I thought saying I only wanted it as a reference for the au-pair thingy would be inappropriate and rude, so I said I wanted to find out whether I can imagine working as a kindergarten teacher later in life. Was that much of a lie? I mean, after all I want to work with children later, just not in kindergarten...
Tonight I'm going to the movies with Betty. We didn't get around to see 17 Again last week because she was busy. I asked her when she wanted to go then; she wanted to go as soon as possible, which is today. Yes, it's a school night, but we only got two more days of school anyway until pentecost break, so it's not that much of a big deal, for me that is. Mom's not too happy, but I'm 18 and legal; it's my decision.
I'm really looking forward to the movie. The cinema will be rather empty, I think, due to the day of the week, so Betty and I will have the chance completely to release our inner fangirls. Not that we hold them back when we're not alone... Major immaturity alarm ahead!
