So, about 15 minutes ago my internet decided to basically stop working, except for WoW. Every website I tried to visit gave me a DNS error. My chat programs wouldn't load, I couldn't use Outlook to check my email, nothing. And I was a little ticked, cause I had been in the middle of a big-ass forum post and it got eaten.
So, since the only tech support I had available to me was WoW, I asked around to see if anyone had suggestions for what the problem might be. I should really, really, REALLY know better.
Techie Wannabe: Ok first, you go open up your internet
Me: ...what?
TW: You know, your internet, go to tools
Me: ...open up my internet?
TW: Yeah, what kinda internet do you use
Me: ........
Now, I knew PERFECTLY well what this guy was trying to say. He was referring to my browser, and was trying to instruct me on how to dump my browser history. (Which I already know perfectly well how to do.) However... "open up your internet" just makes me cringe. The internet isn't a program. It's more of... an entity. It's on par with Eric's old classic "my printer won't download." LOL
So, I just rebooted my computer. It's fine now. /shrug
