The real world is an ugly, ugly place...
...A place where your home can be infested with mold, and you still can't get out of your legally binding lease...
...A place where your roommate is facing eviction because she cannot get a loan, and has no parents to help her...
...A place where unemployment is a very, very real fear.
One can never really understand hardship until it affects their life in a personal manner. I have been lucky enough to come from a financially and emotionally supportive family, and it is very eye-opening to see what it is like for others who aren't as lucky as I am. In all honesty.....it scares me more than anything I could have imagined.
