I know I've recently been complaining about how annoying I think this resurgence of vampire themed entertainment is but... man...

True Blood is faaaantastic. Alan Ball is the she~ets! I might actually have to pick up the novel.

On top of it all it's set in Louisiana and while not perfect, that alone makes it interesting to me since I lived there for a few years and I have family there. Little things like seeing the characters drink Community Coffee is really pretty cool.

I dunno about that Cajun accent that one guy has though. The sheer fact that I can understand what he says kinda throws me.

And to top it off, it's good to see a well paced show from HBO. It's been a while since I've felt this satisfied by an HBO show. John from Cincinnati was horrible and while I love Big Love, it was one hell of a slow burn before it picked up the pace in season 2. And I know all of you probably loved John Adams... but god, I had to quit after about 6 episodes. Paul Giamatti's rendition of John Adams annoyed the crap outta me. I was way more into all of the other characters, like Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin.

I think that's another thing about True Blood, I hate Anna Paquin and yet her character's weirdly starting to grow on me after three eps.

I might even be able to finally forgive her for being the worst Rogue ever.

Back to jet lagging and then getting up crazy butt early to work. :(
