on thursday i got a call from my mom saying that we had to pack and go to san diego immediatly.
automatically i thought that my god-mother got into a horse accident, but i was wrong. her husband, jerry, was on his motorcycle when an SUV hit him head on. he was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved due to sever brain damage and a bruised heart. he died around 3am friday, the 13th. we were all at the hospital thursday night praying that he would make it. he was an organ donor, so eventhough he died, he was very healthy and was able to donate his kidneys along with a few others. unfortunatly his heart was bruised from the accident, so it was not able to be donated.
jerry was like an uncle to me. its hard to imagine him gone. he was only in his early 40's. right now im sitting in his office, in his chair. he will be extremely missed.
