A small update
So I seem to have last posted a long time ago!
Here's an update on my life:
- Finished another year of teaching... love my new school and was veryvery sad to see my kids go!! But am already anticipating my new bunch. :)
- Had open heart surgery in April. After going for a check up, they noticed the pressure in my right side of my heart (that pumps blood into the lungs so needs only like a pressure of 20) was 140, equal to the pressure in the left side of my heart. After doing some tests to find out why, they discovered that my heart was growing some muscle inside the right ventricle which was causing a double chamber right ventricle. It was closing off my heart :O So 6 days later I had open heart surgery, a month off school, and am now peachydandy.
- We had a pipe break in our house in May. Caused $5000 worth of damage to the house. Covered by insurance, thankfully.
- My car was acting funky in May, had to take it to the dealership and get them to fix it.
- Shea had to have gallbladder surgery in June to remove his gallbladder due to gallstones. Also doing peachydandy now.
- Our air conditioner broke 3 times this summer... resulting in a brand new air conditioner and a pretty loan to go with it.
- In our joy of remodeling due to damages, we also decided to go ahead and get corian countertops (very pretty), and tile flooring (not installed yet). We've also painted the flooded room and redone the guest bathroom.
- Had another pipe break in July. Resulting in a huge repiping of entire house.
- 2 more weeks til school starts.. I need a vacation from summer!!
Hope everyone else's summer is going much better than mine! Although we both have our health and will have a pretty new, cool house to go with it!
