Verse Intro: Tempus Incognitum - Commander Jonathon Sheppard.

ooc: This verse, as the rest of my dear verse-mates have said before me, will not impact any of John's other verses and is complete and utter crack. All credit goes to builfromscraps and americas_cap, both of whom John and I adore. So yes, no one who isn't part of this verse should talk to Commander Sheppard until I unleash him on sixwords...

Orphaned at an early age, he refused to abide by his brother's wishes and was cast out of his family and country. Born Giovanni "Gianni" Simone to minor businessman Pasquale Simone and his wife Vittoria, he knew from a young age that he wasn't going to follow in his father's footsteps. By result of his parents' untimely death and his own exile, he seeks refuge in England, taking on an Anglicized identity. By age 13, he enlists in the Navy and pledges to serve this country as his own.

When Gianni gets drunk or otherwise emotional, some Italian or subtle accent may present itself. Feel free to have your character think this is bizarre for an English officer to have. Despite being Italian, he is very loyal to his chosen country and would die for it easily and without regret.

He makes friends easily by his wacky antics, just as in canon and as you've all witnessed... but he cannot risk people getting too close and finding out his true identity or he will once again be without a homeland.

[With Tony-mun's permission, John is going to make Pirate Stark his personal target...]

A seasoned naval Commander, "Sheppard" is widely respected even when his actions do not directly reflect his orders. For all his talk, he really can't bear to stay under the radar, so he stays out at sea instead.

More to come...
