Quick rant

I was flipping channels Saturday night and I happened upon SpikeTV's Video Game Awards. It was probably halfway over and I really had no intention of watching it because I knew it was just going to be stupid. Well, I had tuned in right before they were going to announce the winner of the "Most Addictive Game Fueled By Dew", and the nominees were read by ex-WWE wrestler Jeff Jarrett and Melinda, the stupid blonde chick from the latest Real World. First off, why the hell is this dumb bitch even associated with this thing? Apparently people who watch SpikeTV watch the Real World as well. It struck me as odd.

Anyhow, the nominees for this fallacy were:

We <3 Katamari - Wonderful and amazing game
Lumines - I've heard that it's a great puzzle game
Meteos - I *KNOW* that this is a great puzzle game and it's freakin' addicting
Nintendogs - I enjoy this game and I haven't played it in a while, but I'm waiting to play it with John because that's
gonna be awesome
World of Warcraft - At this point I was like, "Are you kidding?"

So of course World of Walking wins, and I changed the channel. It just didn't make any sense. If you have a game like World of Walking, why not City of Heroes? I've spent over 800 hours on that game since it's been out and I plan on spending a ton more on it.

Or do I just have to be jacked up on Mountain Dew to fully enjoy WoW? Because I sure as hell know I didn't enjoy it when I was playing it without it.
